Helen Osborn

Helen Osborn has been active in professional genealogy research since 1998, when she first started taking clients on a part-time basis. Since then the business has grown to be a limited company with 2 other research staff in London. We also draw on extra help from outside London from an extensive list of contacts and associates when we need to.

Helen is a qualified archivist and holds a first degree in history as well as an MA in archives and records management. She also teaches genealogy. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and her own family history project now reaches back 20 generations and covers almost every county in England (and some in Scotland and further afield as well).

Helen is the author of the following books on historic pubs and brewing:

Inn and Around London (1991)
Britain’s Oldest Brewery (1996)
Forever Young’s (2004)

Also, occasional contributor to the magazines:

Ancestors
Family History Monthly

And consultant during 2005 to the popular BBC2 series “Who Do You Think You Are?”

Our Current Research Interests are:

IZZARD – We are helping comedian Eddie Izzard with his family history. Are you also an Izzard? We would love to hear from you!

SCATTERGOOD – Are you interested in Scattergoods. We would like to know if you are – perhaps we can help.

BEACHCROFT – Helen’s family – let us know if you have any Beachcroft ancestors – we have the definitive information on this Derbyshire and London family

ZOFFANY – we are helping with a new biography of this interesting 18th century painter – Do you have Zoffany connections? We would love to hear from you!
